Hey guys,

I have been looking for a new set of 18"s for my M3 HB, and I came across the Drag Brand Wheels and MB Wheels. Now, I know that MB Wheels are a division of A-spec from Japan, distributed exclusively through Discount Tires here in the US.

I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with Drag Brand Wheels ( I am looking at the DR-33's) or the MB Speed Wheels. Reliability, durability, paint, clear coat, etc? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know anything about the quality, but I have always loved the MB Speed Wheels. If einkei made them, they'd probably be on my car rightnow. I was apprehensive about the brand too, that's why I didn't get them.

From what I've heard, Drag Wheels' quality is about the same as Rotas

So you're saying the quality is good then?

thats what I heard too. Rotas are some of the nicer wheels for the price, but quality from what ive heard from alot of people is not reliable.

Except for dan's.

Yea, I have been thinking about it lately. I haven't heard any negative comments about them, just apprehension. It is a good price, and they are very stylish. I really do not want to shell out the money for more expensive rims, as I've seen them get bent. I had Motegi's on my old TIburon, and they held up great. If the MB or Drag wheels are comparable in quality to those, we should be fine.

Hey I almost wanted those DR-19's! In silver though lol

My boyfriend has DR-17's on his s14 (auto-x car). They look great, affordable, and I'm sure they're good quality too. I was thinking about getting DR-25's, but changed my mind to another set of wheels I'd had my mind on when I first started looking. And those are MB's. So yeah, I'm getting a set of MB's really soon ;)

These brands are pretty good-looking and cheap...I'm actually getting a set of DR-31 because they look like the Rota Torques.

i have the dr-21's in 18s..... (enkei rpf1 knockoffs). they're decent quality...then again i don't autocross or anything. they seem to hold up just nicely to everyday abuse.
