That fast? I'd expect a well taken care of modern engine to go 200 without major surgery, 300+ with maybe some internal repairs. Assuming it's taken care of its whole life. Maybe I'm too optimistic? I've been taking good care of my engine since I got the car at 35k miles, and it's at 70 now. I'm expecting to get over 150 at least with no trouble.

I don't know, that's the thing, I literally have no idea; I just know a few people that do indeed have 300k and are on their 3rd motor, where they said their first one went out just under 200k

I have no idea how long our engines last lol

Which in today's world, it makes sense, why keep it around for so long?

There was a guy featured in Mazda Canada's Zoom Zoom magazine a few months ago from Montreal.

900,000km and counting on his old mazda MPV on one engine
Wow that is good to know, I just picked up my 3 with 70k miles on it and plan on putting at least another 70k miles on it.
