This is *the* time of the year in Central Texas for drives around back-country roads. It's sunny, warm, and mostly dry.

I say mostly because we did have some major storms and flooding this past week. This particular road is normally a small creek and was flooded in several spots. A couple of water crossings were necessary!

There were also some low and very cool clouds over the lake earlier this morning.

The AWD turbo MazdaSpeed6 was unflappable thru it all, although there was one cattle guard in particular that was not friendly to ultra-low profile tires such as this car is equipped with. All in all, an excellent touring car for back road driving.
