I got a 2005 Dodge NEON SRT-4 in orange blast. I did have goals for the mazda3 to make this kind of power, but saw how silly it was to pour that kind of money into it. So I traded up. :D
I didn't blank out my plate, it doesn't really matter. It's personalized and hard not to know who I am when I drive around now. Easy to spot.

Yes it's a fast rocket of a car, but I'd never trade my 3 for a neon. There just is too much I'd loose in every other way just to get to the next stop light faster.

If you are happy with it though, I say more power to ya! Enjoy.

Looking good! Current [mod] spec and schedule pls, lol. It looks like it's riding on stock springs, yes?

Yea, when you ditch your modded 160hp car, for a much quicker car, i'd call it trading up. Interior, exterior, etc are owner's preference, and doesn't matter much unless you just want to show off in an internet forum ;)

Thanks guys, yeah the wheels are stock, and whoever chrome dipped them did a horrible job. I'm going to replace the wheels, but right now that's the least of my concern. I'm going to get down to a discount tire soon and have the tire situation sorted out better as well.

I may not have audio controls on the steering wheel, but the interior of the car feels better quality to me than the 3 did. It's basic and doesn't have a bunch of flashy things like red and blue LEDs like mazda3s have, but I wanted a functional car.

Throttle lag? Thing of the past, this car has a cable, no motor to screw with me. Turbo lag is almost non-existant, and being able to own most cars on the road STOCK is great. Although in twisties a lower powered car would best a stock srt-4... Once I start working on the suspension this car will be even more of a beast.

I understand NEONs aren't everyones cup of tea, but the mazda3 I had gave me too many problems for A NEW car... I won't buy mazda again unless it's an older rx-7 or miata.

I'll still be posting on the boards here and there if I can see anything I know being useful to someone :D

congrats on the new ride, any plans for power upgrades (since they are so cheap and easy)?

Yeah, company in town called Fully Built does a lot of port work. They sell for 650ish... ported intake manifold, ported turbo, ported exhaust manifold, throttle body etc installed! Guy there named Josh says to contact him when I've got the green and he'll set it up :D

He said he'll get me making over 300 on the stock turbo, if I put down between 1-1.5k :D

Nice upgrade.

That is a first for me to see the chromed stock rims on one.

Just ignore the haters as they mostlikely don't have any time in a SRT-4 to make most comments.

NEONs aren't for everyone, and I used to think they were stupid cars as well. Some guys I know in Vegas actually showed me some up close months ago and I had a flip of opinions. They are great cars and handle a lot of power, on a stock engine and transmision too.

I craved more power and now it's on tap. Working on saving the money to get even more, need to get some more sticky meats though too.

I expected some people to hate on the car, but that's fine :)

Congrats on the new ride. You may want to look a little closer at your tires. It looks like your passenger front tire is on the wrong side of the car...

Beat me to it.

Nice ride, BTW

Nice car, good power. I'd have gone for an ms3 myself :) but I've got a lot of respect for the neon srt-4s and their mod potential. Glad you went with the neon instead of the caliber. 8)
