Re: GB: ***Apexcone/DDM HID kit GB special!!!

I'm guessing these are for the driving lights correct? whats the diff. between these and the stock ones in an 09 hb? I'm pretty pleased with the ones the car came with but i may consider an upgrade. Any pics of these installed?

thanks

If you have HID the only upgrade is to go 55W HID as stock HID is 35W HID. If you have halogens anything is an upgrade ;)

Well if you don't use it it might work fine but because DDM ballasts are not low draw here's the symptoms that may appear and require a battery harness:

"intermittant starting or lights going out after being turned on for several minutes and requiring you to turn the lights off and back on for them to turn back on again."

So we just include it and if you want to use it then you have it :)

do you recommend installing the HID by removing the bumper?
[/quote]

If you absolutely want the ballasts to be hidden and have big hands then yes :)

Otherwise it's still doable without removing the bumper.
