I've been noticing a major difference in gaz milage since 4000km, Before this it would drink a quarter tank for 100km (12.6L/100) :?

Now at 4831km, i get 606.2 km on a full FULL tank, and driving VERY agressivly! this is about 9.07L/100km - :)

Oh yeah, also...3 starts in a row with slipping (4 season tires in winter)
0-100km/hr = 8sec 8)

I'm glad to hear that!

This is because I was speaking with dugrant the other night, and we were going over my gas milage. I've been getting about 400km's per tank, or around 13L/100km. I just reached 3000km's so I'm anxious to get better milage :D

Wow.. glad to see that.. coz i'm only having around 400Km per tank. I was really surprised coz i thought it would do better than that.

I remember that chat :)

Yeah, it seems like everyone's getting only about 400km per full tank, which makes out to be 13L/100km, or about ... 19-21mpg?

Anyways, if you folks break the mileage barrier, please let me/us know :)

I'm getting about 410km per full tank and every single time I fill that up before the fuel light comes on, so I'm guessing I can go well over 450km per tank now? I have just over 2300km on my 3

i've never seen the 600, but i'm always about 560-575 when the gas light comes on.

Mine is slightly more than 5000km, but I dont think my sedan GT with auto can do 600km per tank.......Is it related to the driving style?

6_funk --> The numbers i gave are based on 54L on fill so my car was EMPTY when i took the stats

6_funk -->

I do Highway at 150km/h every morning then hit traffic at 20km/hr
The do some city do drop off my GF...then i hit the highway again at 20/km, once i passed the traffic i hurry back to 120km/h and then enter the city again...

same thing on my way back except less traffic, and i lve in the mountains so hills are included.

Oh yeah, also...my car is Manuel, Auto usealy drink more but Manuel is slightly more based on driving style

Same trip used to leave me at about a quarter tank. Keep in mind when I fill up my car I do not top it off I dont fill up past the firts time it clicks off.

Conversions! (I think these are right, but I could be wrong.)

If you use x liter/ 100km, then your Miles/Gallon is 235.2/x!

It works the other way too!

235.2/mpg = L/100km

Throw out some numbers now:

Styles said his best was 9.07 L/100km:
235.2/9.07 = 25.93 mpg pretty decent mileage

I live where it's a lot warmer and near sea level, so my best tank was 33 mpg:
235.2/33 = 7.13 L/100km

Right now I'v got 3000 mi (3000*1.61 = 4830 km) and each tank has gotten better mileage. This seems to be the trend.

What's the ratio of the City/highway driving, 6_funk?

Indeed the 4000km mark seems to be the magic number for me as well. I have 4200km right now and I am at 270km at exactly half tank.

I have the Sport GT 2.3 with AT transmission, doing about 50/50 city/hwy driving. I drive normally about 70% of the time, the rest is with a heavy foot.

sounds great!! 270km / 27.5 L that works out to be about 10.2L /100km for an Auto

consider that mine is a stick and still only getting 240km for half a tank. My driving is about the same as u are.
