fuel pump?

my 3 latley has stalled from like and idle up to 5mph, and when ur coasting or even stopped or braking, the rpms go up as if you were hitting the gas and im not. My friend's 3, stalled a lot and it was due to a fuel pump problem which mazda replaced, i was wonderin if anyone had the same problem, or knows if or not it is my fuel pump? thanks
