:wavey:

I have for sale an Ibanez Artwood series AW20 6-string acoustic guitar. The color is Honey Sunburst. It has a glossy finish to it (full of fingerprints right now, but it cleans up easily). I replaced the strings with a set of Black Diamond light gauge strings (.012, .016, .024, .032, .042, .053) not too long ago. The guitar is only on its second set of strings and has seen very little use. Aside from the fact that it's been sitting in my room for a while, it's practically new. I bought it to try and learn guitar, but I didn't get very far with it. Now it's not getting any use and it's a shame for it to just sit here.

It's a bit on the bulky side as far as acoustics go. It makes a great starter for someone. I don't think it's sized appropriately for a child, though. It has a very full sound, a bit on the deeper side. It's currently tuned E-A-D-G-B-E. I have provided a sound sample of the strings. There aren't any major scratches on it that I can see, just a couple nicks but they're not noticeable. All in all, it's in great condition. Ibanez advertises that the Artwood series is designed so that as the guitar ages, the sound gets fuller-- for whatever that's worth.

Items I'm including:

  • guitar stand
  • Ibanez guitar strap
  • handful of Dunlop Tortex standard .73mm picks (yellow)
  • owner's manual
  • all tools that came with guitar
  • pocket-sized electronic guitar tuner (Qwik-Tune)
  • a copy of "Fretboard Logic SE" by Bill Edwards (ISBN 0-9624770-6-0)
Please note, I do not have a case for this guitar. It has been stored in my room upright on a guitar stand all along. It has never been taken outside of my home. I will take the guitar to my local UPS store and have them package & ship it for me. It would be convenient for me if someone local would pick it up, but I don't mind shipping it.

Asking price for this package is $195 shipped within the US. Package will be insured.
Price is $160 if you're picking up locally (Philadelphia metro area, I'll provide address through PM).

Sound samples -- don't laugh if these chords are off, I'm a complete n00b

E-A-D-G-B-E note scale: click
C chord: click
A chord: click
G chord: click
E chord: click
D chord: click

Thanks for looking!

Just to clarify, there are no pickups installed on this guitar. I recorded the sound samples with a PC microphone (that's why there's noise in the background).

i'm interested, but it seems like it wouldn't be too safe for it to be shipped here. i know a couple friends who work at ups and they mess around with boxes all the time...

The package will be insured for its full value. However, I'm open to suggestions on other shipping methods/carriers as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make this sale more appealing to buyers? I think the price is really fair, but I could be wrong. I'm entertaining suggestions.

Would it help if I included a guitar case? That would of course increase the price, as I would have to go shopping for one.

If I had the cash spending cash, I'd be all over this--seems like a pretty attractive price. I've been keeping my eyes open for a decent acoustic guitar for awhile...

I'd bet that picking up a cheap case (just enough to protect it from sharp blow), and adding the actual price of the case would help. Even if it is insured, it still sucks to pay for something and get a big box of rubble on your doorstep.

If nothing else, here's a free bump! :D Good luck
