So I originally had a JL Stealthbox in my Corvette with the JL 10W3V2 sub in it. My wife had an Elemental Designs 10in sub in a custom made enclose in her Mazda3. We recently had our first child so the sub in her car had to go. Since the sub in her Mazda was more powerful, I swapped it with the 10W3V2 in the Stealthbox and swapped amps as well. This has left me with the JL 10W3V2-D2 sub from the Stealthbox and the sealed enclosure from her car.

The JL Subwoofer is a couple years old but in good working condition. The rubber ring around the sub was trimmed in half and I no longer have the speaker cover, but the sub itself works great.

That's a reallly nice setup. What amp did you have driving it?

JL 250/1, which I also have, but am debating whether to sell as well or hold on to. Have been thinking about going with that Mazda3 stealthbox that fits in the side compartment in the back with an 8in sub. Figured that would be a smaller sub than the 10in/box was. That one wouldn't fit with a stroller in the back and the 400w amp we had driving it was just a bit much with a baby in the car. I'm thinking that a smaller 8in sub that is out of the way of the stroller might be good and I could use the 250/1 JL amp that I was using in my Corvette with the Stealthbox to power it. That way it wouldn't be quite as powerful and it would be out of the way, but it would give just enough bass to fill things in nice.

Hmm. I currently have dual 10w0v2's running off a Phoenix Gold 300w amp in parallel. This is DVC, right? So I could run the same amp at the same ohms and give this thing a perfect amount of power... it'd probably sound a bit cleaner and take up a lot less space and weight. That's kinda tempting...

Ya it's a dual voice coil. Check the link to the PDF manual and skip to the page that shows the specs.

It's Normal Impedance is 2ohms but it shows how you could wire it for 4ohms if necessary.

Let me know what you think...
