I just bought an 06 hatchback from Illinois where they have front license plates. I live in Indiana where we don't! I took off the front license plate holder and it looks horrible - big holes left. Other than replacing the front bumper, anyone know of some nice looking replacement for the front license plate holder?

you can fill those holes with bumper caps. You local parts store should have black caps that will cover the holes nicely.

www.bumperplugs.com Yeah, its kind of expensive, but its paint matched and extremely durable. I had them on my 04 Mz3, and again on my 09 Mz3. I had to take them off the 04 when I traded it in (I had to put the plate bracket back on), and the only way I got the paint to come off was by ripping at the cap with pliers. It took a pretty good deal of strength to get them out of the holes too. Highly recommended...

you could just try and paint them with your touch up paint...

^ been there, done that. It really doesnt stick very well, and its a complete PITA. Trust me when I say the bumper plugs are worth it.

I've had those darn holes in my front bumper since April! I removed the plate a week after I got the car. I don't understand why they put front plates on cars in states where it's not mandatory :/ I've grown to just ignore them, so I don't really notice them much anymore.
