Lucky you for getting out of it..
Although I haven't got any points on either tickets.. and I was going 83?
In a 60 though.

consider yourself lucky. In VA that's considered reckless (anything over 80mph or over 20MPH over the limit)
Really?? Aren't radar detectors illegal there too? Are VA's traffic laws written by Nazi's?!
Yup...sure are. That doesn't mean I won't be buying a valentine one though

same here, after researching for a new radar detector for over a week now, Ive come to the conclusion that the V1 is still the best out there. The bogey counter and directional arrows are huge helps. If I lived In VA id rock the Bel STi driver though, totally stealth to radar detector detectors.
eah - while true i'd go with the V1 just because they WILL make it undetectable at some point. Who knows. But that STi is tempting.

I have the Escort Passport 8500. The wife got it for me as a gift, I absolutely love it. Although I do love the V1's arrows. Just a question of her not wanting to spend the extra $100 on the V1. I am definitely satisfied with the Escort. I only wish that on PA side roads the cops used radar instead of taking f'ing times so that it would help me around town!!!
Oh well, either way you still have to be smart. I could have easily avoided the ticket I got, but I had my head up my arse and wasn't paying attention.
