I've searched and can't find the answer.

Mazda's web site says this(1-4th: 3.941, 5-6th: 3.350) for the final drive ration.

I've never seen 2 final drives before. Can anyone explain this?

it's because there are three shafts inside that transaxle.

gear's 3-4 are on a different output shaft than 5-6 thats why.

just enjoy it.

it works doesn't it?

Google your trans then, or wikipedia. Two output shafts make it so your trans is wider than longer. So it will fit between frame rails.

Better gear range makes for better torque distribution. And in the speed3 you feel the torque more than the hp.

new model 6 and 3 are going to be offered as the only manual trans available I believe.
