i don't really know a lot about cars, but i'm trying to learn... i have an old '87 FC with the 13b NA engine... it won't start at all... when we bought it, we were told that it needed fuel injectors... we replaced them, but it didn't help... we took it to a specialist and he told us that we had a cracked apex seal... i imagine that this isn't really an easy fix... or a cheap one... is there anyone that can give me any idea as to what i'm in for? thank you!

Depends on what kind of seals you want.
but it's basically the same as piston rings for a piston driven motor.
about 200-300 bucks for stock seals + labor

Yeah, replacing an apex seal means tearing down and rebuilding your motor. If you go to a good shop (that knows rotary engines) then it shouldn't take too long. Also, if part of the apex seal broke off (instead of the seal just cracking in half) your rotor housings and side housings may be damaged. Side housings can be resurfaced, and you can get good used rotor housings for fairly cheap. However, this is the worst-case scenario, most likely you will just get some fresh seals and be on your way. Its a good idea to replace the water seals when you open up the motor, especially if it is a high mileage engine.
I hope this helps, good luck, FC's are great cars. :)
