I hear every place is bad quality meaning needs sanding, prepping, etc. to fit or just doesnt fit flush at all. Then everyone says get Silvia and you won't be disappointed but I can't find any contact info. besides an email address. I email them and they dont get back either. I wish it was easier..

When I purchase a product I don't want, or should not to have to deal with anything, especially automotive related. I've had enough diseasters and close calls to be a more careful consumer. Also, I really dont have the time or resources to retrofit eyelids. I just want a pair that fits nicely and looks good with decent customer support. Quality control should rule out the "nature" of fiberglass products to ensure than the consumer gets exactly what he/she pays for, even though thats not the case.

"Sorry, we are only a small company and do not have the manpower to answer phone calls. Therefore, email is the best way to get in touch with us."

That's taken from their website. And any mods you do to your car will never be perfect unless you spend hours fiddling around to make them perfect. You just can't expect to buy something, stick it on and expect it to be perfect. And if you find a company that makes said perfect products all the time, it'll cost you an arm and a leg for their products. I seriously doubt comanies will start making molds and whatnot to produce one copy of their product and then toss the mold and start over for their next customer, which would pretty much be the only way you'd get perfect fitment on every piece.

My sharkfin is everything I expected it to be. I think my eyelids should be of the same quality.

I have emailed silvia twice with no response and filled out a contact form as well. I can't find any corporate info either.

You clearly have little understanding of the way businesses work tim-bit. If I wanted to spend hours perfecting the product I buy, I would just make it myself or have a local shop do a one-off for me. Quality control should rule out prodcuts that don't fit perfect, without having to create a new mold every time. You don't seem to understand if I'm going to pay $100 for a pair of eyelids, they best look excellent and fit... Not unless I see a disclaimer saying "We are unable to create a solid product, so you may need to set aside a few hours fiddling with it", will I be satisfied with buying a product that doesn't fit. I'd love to order from Silvia but my dad isn't impressed with the website, lack of info. and poor response to emails.

Well then, don't buy from them. I can't vouch for them myself, but a whole lot of people on this forum and others have bought Silvia eyelids, and the majority of said bunch of people seem more pleased than displeased with the products.

Also, the quote I have from Silvia might just explain why their quality control isn't up to perfect standards. But then again, doesn't matter how small or big the company is... I don't believe any one product is perfect, look at Microsoft, how big it is and we all know that Windows is far from perfect ;)

(Not bashing Win here, I love Windows :p)
