Go to one of those import sports compact shops that also do custom vinyl decals, they'll be more than happy to trim you a set. Cost? I would say $20.

Pros: on that strip of the headlight you have covered, the housing is protected from pebbles and stones.

Cons: Lots of people find it tasteless, including me.
