Well wish me luck.
Tomorrow I take my 3 in for it's 3 year service 32,000 miles and it's 1st MOT Service £210 MOT £50.
I'm also going for the extended warranty option which gives me a further 2 Years warranty cover for .........wait for it £578 .
Yeah I know I'm mad but hey, a new automatic headlamp levelling motor costs £600 so it sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Anyway my bank balance is going to be minus £838 by end of play. :wtc: :wtc:

Anybody wishing to help with donations to this needy cause please PM me :(

Just had a call from the dealership. Passed the MOT Yippeeee !! However Quote : The technicians have found that your pollen filter is all blocked up and the inside of it has disintegrated. It will cost £54 for a new one including fitting. At this rate I shall have to take out a second mortgage. :? :(

I understand from Coulda that these sort of things and other items like Road Fund Licence, Tv Licence and the like are all part of your income tax, so I suppose it's all swings and roundabouts really

Well, picked the car up this morning. Prices changed slightly For those interested.........
37,500 Service £95.40
Minus 10% Loyalty Discount -£9.54
MOT Test £50.35
Replace Pollen Filter £7.95
24mths Extended warranty £578.00 = £722.16

Parts £114.47
VAT £137.60 ( For our US friends Value Added Tax , just another treasury money maker)

Grand total £974.23
Plus my Road Fund Licence is due at the end of the month £190.00
So £974.23 + £190 = £1164.23 At the current exchange rate thats $2,309.33

Now I think I'll go into a corner and hibernate until payday.

I'm feel for you mate! 2 new tyres = £108 I think, that's bad enough but I needed to replace them within a year. Also there's the break in that I need to get repaired and since that there's the damage some plonker made while attempting to drive past my parked car... I hate this country!

Don't worry about the taxes, at least we have a welfare state, that's what we pay for. Those guys pay health insurance on top. We also have the honour of being British which is a privilege in its self!
