Im not sure if i see what the point in aftermarket engine mounts. Can someone tell me what enhancements in performance an engine mount adds. Thanks!

it keeps the engine from moving back which helps limit wheel hop which helps get more power to the ground.

I just wish someone made more. Those fluid filled stock upper mounts are weak. I'm thinking of draining them and filling back with something stiffer, though. I had the passenger side mount burst on me at the track(Texas World Speedway) last time out. This past time was fine, though.

i just installed the corksport mounts on the tranny mount. vibrates alot more now (probably because its not broken in yet) but if you let out the clutch too early or drop to a low rpm, your car deffanutely lets you know. havnt tried any launches yet though.

for some reason my exhaust sounds a little different after i installed it. dont know how or why or how its different, but it does.. and no im not imagining it. could be something else but it happened right after i installed the mounts.

There are tranny mount inserts now? BTW, the exhaust is now allowing the sound to resonate inside the cabin because the mount is stiffer. It should quiet down a by just little bit when the inserts soften.

I'm guessing he meant the lower dogbone mount. Yeah, mine sounds different too, just more resonnance in the cabin, but it has quieted down.

yea thats the one sorry. i remembered my face 5 inches from the tranny when i did the install, so i naturally typed tranny mount . my bad.
