Hey Everyone,

Eibach will be receiving their first shipments of springs for the Mazda3 this week, with shipments being sent out to their distributors the first week of May. We will be running a special price/offer on these Eibach Springs until May 7th. If you place your order before then, the springs will be $250 Shipped! These springs list for over $300 retail, and that doesnt include shipping.

(Free shipping will be UPS Ground to the lower 48 states, international shipping charges apply. The store will list a shipping charge of $20, but I will go in and remove that fee before billing your card.)

Here is a link to the item in our store:

These Eibach Springs lower the front of the Mazda3 1.4" and the rear 1.2"

We have a set of these Eibach springs installed on our Mazda6i and it made a BIG difference compared to stock. Much less body roll, we could take corners at a faster rate of speed, and the car just handles better. The ride is not too stiff for around town driving and the car does not bounce. We have had the Eibachs installed for almost a year now and the stock shock absorbers are working just fine.

Happy Motoring!

Finally! :)
Nikolas, do you need to buy a camber kit also?
What are the spring rates?
G
M3-GT,

This kit does not require a camber kit as the amount the car is lowered keeps the tires within the acceptable range of degrees of camber.

aleluya... putting my order in this week... thank you very much...
Hey draxas,
Thank you VERY MUCH!!!! I've anxiously been awaiting lowering spring. I have a question though, I'm placing my order and in the section where I fill in my Credit card info, it asks for "ccv2", what is that? I don't know what to enter in that field.
Oh yeah, by the way.........how long can I expect for shipping? I live in Montreal, Canada

the ccv2 is the number on the back of the card in the signature area. it's usually like 3 numbers.

I finally called and spoke with a Tech at Eibach, and he says the springs are Linear, not Progressive.

he said the spring rates are:

160 Front
171 Rear

I hope this person is correct though...

Nikolas
I wondering why they arent progressive... do progressive spring isnt superior ? I like to know more about that before buy them... or maybe wait for other compagny to make some like H&R, B&G, Apex...

M3-GT man... though choice I wanna lower it, but how can we take a decision between Eibach or H&R... H&R seem to be progressive, but they tell it lower suspension 1.5 to 2''... and the other is 1.2''-1.4'' and that seem enough for me since I wanna use my car in winter...
For now I won't lower it. With the snow we get during winter plus all the trips to the country I have to make, I'd get stuck too much in that damn snow of ours....oh well....I'll spend it somewhere else hehe....plus I find the car is ok. It doesn't look like a Corolla...now that's a car that needs to be lowered.

The H&R springs are listed as 1.3" Front and 1.2" Rear ....Part#51643
$ 329.00 Kit......Straight from H&R's website.

Care to do a quick explanation of what linear, progressive, 160 and 171 mean when applied to springs?

Thanks!

JT
160, 170, etc., refer to the amount of force (in lbs.) required to compress that particular spring 1"

If the spring rate is linear, then every inch of spring compression requires the same amount of force. 160 for the first inch, another 160 for the second, and so on.

If the spring rate is non-linear (progressive), then the rate changes as the spring is compressed. A non-linear spring rated at 171 may only require 110 lbs of force to compress the first inch, then 130 lbs for the second, and so on until the max rate is acheived.

Usually, the first inch or so of travel on a progressive spring is of the lower rate so that the freeway ride is near stock, while the higher spring rates come into play as the car is pushed harder during spirited driving.
theoretically, wouldn't linear springs be stiffer?
