http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=141991TORONTO — The 2010 Mazda CX-7 is making its premiere in Canada, at the 2009 Canadian Auto Show here. Alongside it will be the updated 2009 Mazda MX-5.
The Mazda CX-7 gets a new look and a new 161-horseower 2.5-liter engine for 2010 — the same power plant as in the 2009 Mazda 6 and the 2010 Mazda 3. The engine is coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission. A carryover engine is a 16-valve turbo-4 that makes 244 hp.
The 2010 Mazda CX-7 gets revised front and rear appearance, with a new five-point grille that gives it a family resemblance to the new RX-8, MX-5 and Mazda 3. Improvements were made to the body to improve rigidity and ride quality. Inside, there are redesigned gauges with 3D dials and blackout meters, a multi-information display on top of the instrument panel and Bluetooth compatibility.
Pricing and complete specifications will be released closer to the CX-7's on-sale date.
