was wondering what the difference between the two, and since the red stuff isn't available for the rear i imagine the greens would be ok? i just got a new set of EBC rotors off of someone who traded in their 3 w/o even opening them.
The reds are ceramic and the greens are kevlar/organic. The reds have a higher fade resistance and are the least dust of any pad, but the greens have a slightly higher coefficient of friction. The reds will also last longer mileage wise...

this will be for daily driving, (also in the freezing tundra of MN ), will the reds be ok? also do you have the fronts and rears in stock for the reds and greens?
Reds will be okay in Minnesota (I'm in Madison, WI, so not that far off from you) as will the greens. I know for sure i have the reds in stock, and I should have the greens in stock. They'd ship tomorrow if ordered today. Neither color pad requires any extra heat in them to work, and the grip is WAY better than stock in most people's opinions... it should be an increase of about 20% minimum for you.
One of the keys with EBC's though is to make sure you turn/machine or replace your rotors before putting them on. If not, the risk of squeaking goes up a LOT. I personally have never had a set of EBC's emit any noise at all, but there have been a few complaints on here (almost always from people that didn't replace or turn the rotors or didn't wait through the bed in period).

yup i got them ordered up earlier. apparently it had just been an oversight that these weren't up for sale on the website, hes always had them by the sound of it.
Yeah, we were REALLY backordered for a while and I flipped a value on the site that apparently hid them which I didn't realize... I fixed that and they are on there. Two more sets in stock and 3 sets of greens in stock as wel.

well I can ship it to you 2nd day, but it won't get there on Friday... so do you want me to ship it "normal" or some other means and save you money or stick with 2nd day and get it there Monday?
I don't know, lol, I ended up selling the red stuff because I heard lots of negative comments about it being way to harsh for day to day driving. Then I ended up buying the Hawk HPS's and didn't even get to put those on since I sold my 3 for a speed3. lol.
Don't know who told you that the red stuffs were harsh for day to day driving. I have several locals on them and they don't have any issue. Less harsh than a Hawk HPS to the rotor and the like, and slightly less grip (trade heat resistance for grip). Be careful what you listen to on forums.... not many know their stuff... I ran all 3 compounds on vehicles we owned/sponsored, so I know what each is like exactly.
Only the harshest of pads will actually wear the rotor significantly, and these kinds of pads won't do it, so I wouldn't worry about rotor wear for the situation. The reds are a nice low dust option with good added grip and reliable for daily driving.
