Re: Ebay Figure Eight Metal Grille Replacements. Help me choose Finish.

If you plan to stick with the chrome styling, I'd probably go for the polished one.
IMO the black ones don't look different enough from stock to make it worthwhile.

I'm not much of a chrome fan but I have to say those door handles look good on your car, and polished mesh for the front would probably compliment that nicely. Another bonus is that polished won't chip.

Here's a (bad) photoshop if it helps

Hey great photoshop :) Thanks. Now that I have a look at it, I think if I do the top it would be too much. I am not a fan of chrome per say I think its like jewellery, if worn sparingly can be good accent pieces. But over done, you can end up looking like a "rapper". Which is of course not the look I am going for :)

So chrome door handles and side marker trim, I think is as far as I would go. Top and bottom grille I think would be too much of bling for the front, I think if I do get it, It would only be the bottom. If I went open mouth grille for the top, I will do it in black. to make it blend in once again thanks for the photoshop

Re: Ebay Figure Eight Metal Grille Replacements. Help me choose Finish.

Hey guys thanks for all your input. Did help me decide.

I did however choose UNpolished aluminium as my colour.

Reason: I decided against polsihed which would look like chrome because I am not a fan of too much chrome and I think it would look too busy being right in the front and would stand out too much.

From the picture of the hatch i posted you can see that brushed or unpolished adds to the beauty and addss a sporty look w/o taking anythign away from the car, you see it you know its there and thats it. no chrome to mesmerize you LOL. I decided against black as it would be too subdued. I also am sticking with the stock upper grille.

Anyways thanks again, I am in the process of ordering it and will post pictures in a couple of weeks.

Agreed. I don't like the look of it, period. If you do something in silver, its totally going to ruin the look of your car.

Exactly man. I mean, to me, it really doesn't do anything for me, but if you like it then that is all that matters.
