I didn't lie to make the kit sound bad, I said exactly what happend, even explained what was wrong with the car so everyone would know.

sure, maybe the kit will be impressive once it's fully functional, but on looks alone, my opnion stands. like I said, we'll see if that changes as I see more of the car. Maybe I'll end up loving it like everyone else, and buy one myself. maybe I'll fall in love with the haltech and just do what ed did. but for now I'm not impressed, I don't see the problem here.

You don't need the Haltech BC to have fuel cut, it is already in the Haltech. You just need to set it up.

the thing is, you're judging something that obviously isn't working correctly. it's just not a fair evaluation. i think your intention was to bash the kit.

it's better to give something a fair chance before passing judgement.

me not having one(yet) has nothing to do with it.

i would say the same thing if you were talking about anything else. your intentions, although you consciously deny it, were to cast a shadow on a product that obviously wasn't up to spec. poor taste imo.

Unimpressed means "I already have a kit that works fine IMO, and here's a hiboosted car that admittedly has problems, but none-the-less I didn't see/experience anything really special about it." Slight difference between that and " I think the hiboost kit is a piece of sh%$, and here's an example of why".

You guys sound like the MS3 guys when I did a review of my first visual inspection of a MS3 on the lot and wasn't that impressed. Chill.

Those essentially are not actual events since in all actuality the kit was not running properly! Try riding a bike with just one wheel and then come and tell us it sucks, it didn't perform right! Come on man, how do u expect to be impressed with something that is not up to par?

I got to see the kit, heard the kit, that's something.

it's ok man...we're all entitled to our opinions.

though some of us knew, i think it would have been better to start off with the severity of the cars issues in your orignal post. if it were stated that the owner had such an issue with the car that they paid to have it shipped from Hawaii....i think that would be a bit more effective than "it might need some tuning, so we'll see".

i do agree that it seems like the original post was put there to dog, or at least level out the HiBoost kit with the SCI kit. might not have been meant that way, but knowing some of the background and not stating it makes it seem odd.

kind of like how Jake didn't post that he overboosted at first, just that the sci kit blew his engine. they are COMPLETLEY 2 different things, though the turbo/actuator were part of the SCI kit, so you COULD say it was the kits fault. understand what i'm sayin?

granted I could have been more diplamatic, maybe not lead off with the not impressed part, but I drove a car with no music and bad gas smell for an hour and forty minutes, made a quick post ate lunch and played video games. There was no alterior motive, I said in a previous post in another thread that I'd be driving one, I did, and I posted about it.

I understand what your saying, but that wasn't my intention. If that were my intention I'm sure I could have done a much better job of slaming hiboost... but that's not what I'm trying to do.
