not impressed

but it's going to the shop for a reason, so maybe with a better tune it will be a little more impressive. Also I can now tell you for sure that I don't want to put 19's on a mazda 3.

lol somebody at sci doesn't like hiboost. if this were a movie, it'd be in the dollar bin.

rofl dollar bin

I kick myself daily for not getting the hiboost. Not just because I like the looks of it but because Juan is the kind of vendor I want to support and keep around, he isnt full of shit and has complete knowledge of these cars. That said, I've modded my kit enough to make me happy, a few more things to do and it'll be solid.

why would you even make this thread?

obviously the car has some issues. considering it was shipped from hawaii which prolly cost an arm and leg

damn! i removed my header and now my car is really loud. this exhaust sucks.

your running you car with no header?
The fuel is the most important part. With my kit Garrett makes the turbo, personally I like the instant spool of the GT28r, someone else makes the WG acuator, the SCI pipes are generic but they work fine (with some trimming), the SCI manifold is good. Really, if your fuel is good, you can safely run anyone's kit. Im not worried about blowing, if something happened to my car, it would have happened with the Hiboost kit also. Plus Im running lower boost than the others that blew (7psi), and they were both having boost control problems and probably fuel issues

Im waiting for Juan to answer my PM so I can get the Haltech boost controller to cut fuel in case of overboost. I have a auto so with my gearing I might not be as fast as the sticks but the car is pretty damn quick. Peeling out never gets old :D

You don't need the Haltech BC to have fuel cut, it is already in the Haltech. You just need to set it up.

hmm. cool. I'll check it out.
thats how I usually judge a items quality. I took my new DLP tv and threw it off my truck. When it didnt turn on, I determined it was a piece of shit.
I added the DLP comment because this thread was getting stale.

the pinouts are the same.
[/quote]

I dont think they are. I remember Juan saying they were not the same. Maybe Im wrong.
R VS RS flow isnt too much of a issue with low psi like most stock engine turbo guys have. The 28r can flow more than enough for the stock engine to take. Just comes down to spool up time.
lol, I wish I could run 14. Its quick but it dosent feel balls out fast. 14 will take STI's and EVo's.
