Hi, I noticed that the grand touring has an antitheft system. I am thinking about buying the sport model, does it have keyless entry at least?..Does mazda sell the antitheft system that I can install?..Thanks

I doubt it, but do you think they can do the high tech doorlock system thingy? I remember that being offered on the speed6.... where you just walk up to the car and it automatically opens?

No, not on the 3 series

It does have a chip in the key for starting purposes

the 6 has keyless entry and start, the 3 does not.

the 6's fob is a bit too thick to fit nicely in a wallet though :x

it has a knob in place of a keyhole on the steering wheel.

All the Mazda3 except the Lowest i (i Sport current Year) has Keyless Power door locks with 2-stage unlocking.
In the 2004 and 2005, the 3i (just 3i, no extra names attached to it) can get it but only if you get the Power & AC Package.

Keyless entry=you don't need to stick your key in the door to unlock it. Use a remote.

true but.. the coolest thing is just having that fob and walking to the car and it auto-unlocking... I wonder how that works if you walk away, do you physically lock it, or do you have to be over a meter away or something and it locks?
