You can fast forward through a track. I just don't like how the random goes off if you want to skip a song and go to the next "hopefully random" track.

wonder if anyone else feels the same. Price is high, and it lacks basic functionality found in 80.00 off-brands, such as the ability to fast forward through a track, auto track scroll, and the ability to handle WMA files.
I would expect that a unit made by Pioneer with a 500+ USD price tag to have far more features.
Granted, if you want to have a decent looking dash, and especially if you have climate control, you're kinds stuck with it.

which control do you use to FF through a track.. if I hold the track advance button in, all it does it fast advance through tracks
There's a button on the right side of the volume button with the << and >> markings. This is fast forward! I think its shared with the #4 and #5 preset buttons. Try reading your manual too.
