This may seem like a trivial question but im just curious. I am assuming that the GT is heavier with all the added technology/gimmicks, but how much exactly...or roughly?

Thanks.

I think the added stuffs on GT is neglible on the weight compared to Sport edition. It would not give a factor on it. But I might be wrong though....

3153 for all trims, according to the official specifications on MazdaUSA.com

As far as I know this is correct as there really is nothing substantial added to the GT trim. Only options like a moonroof, or power seats would really add weight. The extra features on the GT are either just electronic(theft deterrent, trip computer, rain sensing wipers) or are just a direct replacement(seats, led tails, xenons).

I'll know for sure in March since I have corner weights now. Cobb put their GT on the scales with a full tank of gas, so I'll do the same with my sport. I'd think the bose subwoofer, gps, seat warmers, and small things would add up to a fair amount.

I'm gonna say it's probably negligible. The "sub" is 5 or 5.5" or something, lol the unit weighs nothing. the only differences are HID headlights, half leather seats.....LED tails, rain sensing wipers.... yeah i dont really see it making a noticeable difference. Having a chipotle burrito for lunch would probably add about the same amount of weight, lol

worried about weight? join weight watchers!

Im losing too much weight as it is. Guess that helps out too.

Im not to worried about it. Just curious. I think a lighter wheel/tire combo will yield better results.

i would guess about 10-15lbs for the leather, seat heaters, HIDs and Bose?. the controls or sensors for auto features is negligible, maybe an extra pound at most?

Love heated seats, too, except for sometimes getting that surprise "whoa did I just pee/shat myself?!" feeling...

Everytime my wife gets in the car now she says "I miss you heated seats.." I had a 6 with heated leather as my last car. I wouldn't trade for those seats ever, they were terrible, other than the heat. Might have to look into those aftermarket heating elements.
