Here's the one that goes on the door switches:

A similar one goes on the dash horizontally from the LCD screen all the way to the passenger's side door. Red, blue are available from the dealer for both of these (door switch cover plate and dash strip). The 3 with the 2.3L engine come with a "carbon fiber look" dash strip, standard, while the door switches are matte black. The ones with a 2.0L engine have a glossy black dash strip and matte black door switch covers.

IMHO, the red and blue dash accents are tacky and overpriced. The "CF look" strip standard on the GT looks nothing like real CF. I swapped it out for the classy looking strip on the 2.0L models.

tacky factor?

so basically the decorative trim, and the door switch panels are just pieces of coloured plastic that go over the existing stuff that are my choice of blue or red? i guess it would look cool if it was all red with a red car, or all blue with a blue car.. but if im going silver/grey/black its going to look stupid hey?
thanks,

Ouch... Those red and blue panels are nasty looking.... I'd like to see if anyone can pull them off..

I also have seen the CF look and it also looks junky... I've noticed a real limitation on upgrades for the car thus far. And the ones you can get are still $$$ I'm still waiting on rear lights that have the carbon fiber look.

I'm starting to think about doing some mods on my own. Does anyone have info on fiberglassing?

In my opinion, the best place to buy the Interior Decorative Panel Trim pieces from would be -mazdastuff.com- They have the cheapest prices I've found. I'm conisidering the blue set to match my winning blue HB i'm getting.

So I got the glossy black instrument panel trim installed - BIG improvement aesthetically over that super-fake looking carbon fiber crap. One thing I noticed is how amazingly easy it is to scratch the finish - thankfully you can only see the swirls in direct sunlight.

Now I have to decide whether to order the rest of the glossy black accents now, or wait until they're available in NA.
