I own a 2004 2.3....Yes its mine, FINALLY paid off. Anyways my dealer suggested that around 30,000 i should do a tranny drain and fill and then at 60,000k a flush. Then every other 30k interval go between a flush and drain and fill. Does that sound ok? Belive it or not it only has 29,500 on it. So the cost of the drain and fill is...50.00 and 140.00 for a flush. Ive had NO problems with my 3 so far.

Hmm, Well if i do it myself and want to use synthetic say from m-1. It can be mixed in with the m/5 correct. I wont get all the fluid out by doing a drain and fill. However, if its not too tough of a job then over a few months i could do a few of them to pretty much complete a full change of fluids...My question is...You can mix the mobil 1 synthetic with the mercon 5 original fluid correct?

I found a local ase certified shop that will do a "complete tranny service" for 130.00 This includes the removal of the pan, new filter and a flush. Im going to do this service. He stated he would do it every 30-35k. I still have 20k of warranty left so i wanted to go ahead and do it. 130.00$ doesnt seem too bad at all.

That's a damn good price for dropping the pan, cleaning/changing filter, flush and new fluid. Let us know how it goes.
