hey guys
i am thinking about getting some HIDs pretty soon.

but i got DDE raptors in and would like to get some HIDs (for my driving lights not highs or fogs) that will be the same color of my DDE.

or maybe a slight blue glow, but i would like to see some before i commit!

here are my DDE so you can see the color :

It's gonna be tough to capture that on camera. I have the stock HIDs with Predator Chromiums, if I remember correctly. I was noticing last night when I jumped outta the car to do something that my halos are more of a pure white compared to the HIDs. Instead of trying to get them to match (which I don't think you'll be able to do) why not go for a contrast, and make them stand out more while the headlights are on? I have 6000K HID fogs and I think the combination looks very nice. I might be able to take pictures this weekend if you wanna see what they all look like together.

I think you should go for a contrast as well since at night time, the low beam rings won't be very noticable anyways. I'd say you should go for 6000k. It won't be as blue since our headlights come with a projector. 5000k wil give you better visibility but it will look more to the halos.

this is my only pic of my angel eyes and HID together.. it was just a quick shot when I was installing my HIDs..

I'll try to get a better shot when I get my car cleaned up (eventually )

I think they look pretty good with my HID, the rings are a bluish white color while the HID has a little more blue to it so they stand out a little 8)

So here's my contribution. I have the stock HIDs (4300K or 4500K, I can't remember off the top of my head) and halos from Devin. I also have the UED fog light projectors with 6000K HIDs.

For this picture, I took four shots from the same angle, with varying shutter speeds. Faster shutter meant less light got through and more crisp pictures, while a longer shutter took away that sharpness but added to the color. I added several side by side for comparison. These are completely unedited, aside from cropping and resizing. I don't trust myself to do much more than that (being colorblind) especially for this thread to compare the colors.

Next are two wider shots, first with everything on (lowbeams, halos, and fogs) and second with just halos and fogs for comparison.

I love how my stock HIDs look with the halos. Even better is how the 6000K fogs contrast with the rest. It looks very classy in the darkness from a distance, and really angry up close.

Hopefully that helped.

I personally like the contrast of the halogens with the DDE's. They stand out better and don't blend in with the headlights. Living in a heavily populated and very well lit city I don't really have the need for the better output of the HID's. I would love to get some projector fogs and throw some HID's in them but damn 07 has rectangle fogs. I think it looks killer to have the matching color on the fogs as illustrated by colorblindtyler's pics. I may settle for some xeon match bulbs for the time being. But I've been doing a lot of research and may have figured out a way to get some projectors in the 07's. But here is a pic of what I mean by contrast between the headlights and DDE's.

Good choice... I thought you would. 5000s are very white and classy, yet they carry that tiny bit of blue...

Funky
