Argh.. Went out to surrey to see a movie. Came out .. Dent in drivers door, all windows intact... everything gone from the car. Thanks alot to the news channel for oing that story on how to break into a mazda by kicking the door.
The worst thing is ... this is happening all over my area by the hundreds so I'm on a waiting list to get the fix. But what sucks is that the thieves won't know its fixed and they will keep kicking it harder and harder so there no point fixing the dent grrrrr. I was hoping the mazdaspeed3's were gunna have this problem :(

Id be out for blood, I wanted to stick a log in the kids spokes who drug his handlebar down my driver side door. So if somebody broke in and stole something on purpose?? id knock out everyone within a 5 mile radius of my car. Man this shit pisses me off like ...gaaaaaaaah f**k it just makes me scream, I resent all the worthless human beings on this planet who don't give a flying f**k about peoples personal property. I hope 3 tons of irony falls on whoever did this to your car in the form of a giant bronze statues foot.

Guildford or Strawberry Hill? Damn man, sorry to hear. Surrey's statistically one of the worst cities in Canada for auto crime. One time I convinced my buddy to drive out to Strawberry Hill with me to catch a movie. When we came out, we found that someone had ripped the door moulding off his Accord.

I think you mean weren't going to have the problem. Yeah, I thought this wasn't going to affect 07 3's.

This is too bad. Knowing about this problem would have stopped me from buying the car. Mazda needs to fix this asap. Just the association with being an easy to break into car is bad enough without the actual problem

Anyway you can get some pictures? When I dynamat the door I want to have a peice of metal welded to prevent this.

By the time this all came out - 2007's were already rolling off the line. It was my understanding that ONLY cars PRODUCED in 2007 (i.e. cars born in January 2007) had the fix applied. Cars produced prior to this would still be vulnerable.

Yeah the idea to release that info to the public was the dumbest, most irresponsible thing they could do considering how many cars were already on the streets. That's something that should've been taken up with the manufacturer directly. Just goes to show how much they really care about the public. Sorry to see that happening so often there though. Down here I haven't heard of any incidents (yet).

that's it, I am going to start carrying my paint ball gun with me.
Someone's eating the whole hopper if I catch them.
my trigger is all smooth too.....its like a chain gun going off.

F%^*$ loosers.

Not a bad alternative to carrying a P-220 SST under the seat.
