Was lined up to get a first gen cummins but those plans got fuarked. Pretty bummed about it. It just wasn't practical for me. I have my ranger still, and I should save up for a house but I might dump money into my ranger and get a fishing boat next spring.
Don't forget to cut the towers in the rear to make space for the adjusters before you put them in. I would do the cage first IMO, while you have the panels out. Also, it's probably the easiest lol.
Just will need a dremel and grinder to cut a little bit out of the section that curls over.
Well..... the time may have come to pass on my BC ER'S :'( I love them but even on the lightest dampening setting they're just too much for the 805/5 and things are starting to break. (if I dont stay in the area its an hour both ways) I need something more forgiving. I'm thinking H&R. The roads here aren't good for the ER's either, the front driver side has a blown shock and bc quotes 95 dollars for a new one. Personally I'd reccommend sendng them in for an overhaul just based off my road conditions.
I know my thread has been mostly inactive for some time, but if anyone who follows it wants them before I post a fs thread make me an offer.
Well, as those of you who are facebook friends with me or follow me on instagram know I've been a bit distracted from my baby for a while now and spent a lot of time dealing with this pos SEMA car (it's going up for sale):
I haven't done a whole lot to Hatchie lately... she's been sitting with a snapped timing chain for quite a while now and I need to bump and clean out this dusty thread to prepare for what is to come! Since I've moved to California I've met a lot of awesome people and built relationships with a lot of shops and sponsors, and it's officially time to start making the car I love the most into what I've always wanted it to be.
I'll be trailering her to Fast Guppy Speed Shop in Lemon Grove, CA to have the motor built along the lines of Darton sleeves, Wiseco pistons, Eagle rods, Massive Speed/Ford Racing keyed crankshaft/gear, Brian Crower head with stage three cams, injector dynamics id2000 injectors (yes, two thousand cc), some pretty cool Cosworth parts, and much more. The situation with the turbos is a surprise.
Matthew at Fast Guppy's Speed Shop is a fantastic fabricator and will be doing all of my fabrication for piping, headers, intercoolers, downpipes, roll cage, etc. In titanium. He is also a Wilwood dealer and I'll be getting those on all four corners. Anything I'm unable to do myself I'll be sending to this guy!
AWD tuning will be done by Andrew at Area 78, we will be splicing a microsquirt module into the engine harness and tuning with that on TunerStudio.
One final thing... since owning a sema show car I've changed my ideologies a bit. I want a track car that I can show if I want to. I want something unique, extreme, and streetable. Meaning very fast, keep my AC, nice stereo, keep my interior, you get the idea.
I'm stupid for this. I know. Haha. I've been working on making it a reality for a long, long, time and I am so close to finally making it happen without cutting any corners im beyond exited. I've been saying I'll do this for years, the time has finally come.
The world's fastest all wheel drive turbocharged mazda3 is soon to be a reality. Timeline for completion of major build points is one year. Timeline for nearing completion and refinement of the car is two years. I'm shooting for at least 5-600awhp on "low" boost woth race gas and keeping my front interior intact and creature comfortable.
Just wanted to bump and maybe stir some interest before I get started, Stay tuned
This will be the home of all the pictures of my project! This is a 2007 Mazda3 S Grand touring (Galaxy)
