I know most of you know this, but for those who don't know DEI's CryO[sub]2[/sub] kit has been making ground breaking progress with their CO[sub]2[/sub] intake spray! Seriously if your already boosted and looking for a safe extra 10 horsepower possibly more depending on what you setup is, this is for you. Not only is this kit as safe as starting your car up on a cold morning, the price of it wont break your bank. For about 400 dollars you can really experience more power and torque! Now for a turbo'd car you would buy the intercooler sprayer, but say your naturally aspirated? They also have an intake piece that cuts directly into your cold air intake. Here are some videos that show everything you will need to know from installation to small details discussed by the inventor of CryO[sub]2[/sub]! Please don't give me any harassment if you already have this or have heard about it, because im simply trying to bring up awareness of this kit! If its a problem please feel free to delete this thread immediately! What do you people think about it? Below are the videos on youtube in order of the installation on a Dodge SRT4, its really cool stuff!

Ya that is a very nice kit, but the best thing is you can run that NX Intercooler kit, and STILL hook up the CryO[sub]2[/sub] with the intake piece as shown here.

You would be doing some major ass hauling with all 3 of those haha! (Turbo Nitrous and CryO[sub]2[/sub])

Here are some more pictures for the rest of you!

20.

like...you take a ziplock bag of ice and rubberband it, zip tie whatever it to the IC. its an old school trick

or you hook up the washer fluid to spray onto the IC, and fill it up with Ice Water

I might be looking into something like this after I have done everything I want to the car and have alittle cash to waste.

Ice on the intercooler is not too old school, there are alot tricks and some crazy things you will see out on the drag strip. I seen a few guys spray the IC with alcohol(sp) from a spray bottle.
Seen people just vent a nitrious bottle onto the IC.

yeah there are a lot of ways to cool your intake air temps.

dry ice is pretty common to see here in texas.

All this talk about taping ice bags to your intercooler and all these old school techniques makes me want to dump moonshine in my gas tank and run from the police dukes of hazard style lol

There are also icebox intercoolers that are designed as a reservoir for ice. Only good for a run down the track, but every little bit helps when that's all the car does.

you know, whenever I see this I start thinking of my old paintball gear and how easy it'd be to ghetto up something similar... I think once my CAI gets here i'm gunna play around with the stock airbox and my old CO2 tank.

Out of curiosity, would the intake kit be more useful before or after the MAF sensor for NA application? Would it even make a difference where it was placed?

EDIT - After thinking about it I would probably guess after the MAF considering loweing intake air by up to 50F is going to cause condensation to form. My next question would be is it even safe for NA applications? Moist Air + Rapid Cooling = Condensation = Water traveling into the engine? On a fairly moist day that seems like a bad idea. Any thoughts?

for those looking at this, i'm guessing most of you are dragging the car? shooting the IC a couple times before you go?

i can't remember if it was the subi or mini (srt?) that had a thermostatic controller that would spray the IC whenever it reached a certain temp which seemed like a cool idea.

i think what would make the most sense (almost) is to run a small nitrous setup on the car, then purge it on the IC so you get dbl you moneys worth. given, i'd never do nitrous, but hey

also, the CO2 is a lot cheaper to keep filled than nitrous, so that's another good factor about it.

....and a little bitch. i really wish i could type NOS without someone jumping in and saying "NOS is a company, not a product".....cause it's a lot damn easier to type

You don't need to worry about any water getting into your engine. The bulb in the intake does in fact create condensation and some water, but it is so minimal, you don't need to worry about it. The pressure in the intake keeps it attached to the bulb and even if it does break off, the molecules separate on their way in. I called a technical specialist from DEI about this and that is what he has told me! Check out my new thread on the group buy on a cryo2 kit also!! Limited time 36% freaken off on it!!!!!! I'm doing it myself and hope you all do too!
