I just for may mazda 3 four days ago, and one thing that i notice is the noise that you hear from little rocks.... you hear every little pebble you run over that hits your wheel well... anyone else get this????? :?:

haha yep.. it sucks.. freaks me out... but just wait til you notice that all those little rocks are stripping the paint off your side skirts and bumpers...

Yeah I definitely notice this, especially since my Focus had a wierd felt-like lining on the wheel wells and you hardly heard any noise from there at all.

Maybe you should try to apply those rust proofing spray to your wheel well. You can get it from automative store and apply it yourself. It should dampen the sound a little bit.

Funny, my 17''inch wheels do make that noise, but no noise with my 16''inch wheels. Strange :?

Not sure really, I think a lot of it is off of the exhaust, but thinking back it doesn't really sound any different than what my Protege 5 was. Guess it depends on what car you just came from.

I noticed too.

I occasionally like to take a backroad to drive for fun. But these usual backroads are pretty dirty as they are covered with sand, dust, small rocks, etc. I hear every little thing that I roll over get picked up and hit my car's wheel well and underbody.

That was the first thing I noticed the night I picked up the car. It actually sounds like you just got married and someone is throwing rice at your new car. :lol: Haven't noticed any chips yet though. Do they make moulded, painted splashguards for our car? I haven't checked the Mazda accessories yet.....but I heard they make black ones for the i models

exactly know what u mean.. sucks big time.. hear every darn thing and i just noticed a big ass chip on the left side skirt.. oh wellz

Is there a spray of some kind that you can spray under the wheel wells, like i seen on one car b4 where its a black rubber look and feel to it...

Yes... hear this all the time too. Nothing with my Nokian 16" winter tires, but a lot more with my 17" stock mags.

Take a look at you sideskirts were it swoops up by the back door. It catches all those rocks and is totally chipped on mine.

Yup... mine too. My Winning Blue isn't blue anymore around the front wheel well... it's white.

I think that this is a seriou serious issue. I have seen many parked Mz3s and hood chips are all over. Its just a shame.
