Well, Let me start by saying that I'm not totally dissapointed with this exhaust, but I have to say that I believe I paid too much. This is only the second cat back bolt up ive had, (Greddy SP on my 95 delSol VTEC), Usually I have done universal mufflers with larger piping at a great local exhaust shop. The quality of the Greddy far surpassed the CPE and so did the sound. I dont expect huge gains from any mod, so not feeling anything doesnt surprise me, the backpopping is what irritates me. Also, and this is not CPE's fault, but on the site, it doesnt say anything about having to hack up your stock exhaust in order to bolt this thing up. It does bolt up beautifully, very easy install, but holy crap, A one peice stock exhaust is a very big pain to uninstall. Luckily my brother had a saws-all handy in the garage. An overall decent exhaust, but not for over $600 bucks. Even the muffler is another aftermarket piece with their CPE badge weilded over the original manufacturers badge, come on. Save some cash and just have a local shop switch out your stock piping with 3" and a flowmaster muffer, have a beer and call it good. BTW my other mods are a custom CAI and greddy RS BOV(recirc). I'll post some pics later, and, if somebody explains how, I can get some video up as well.Im a noob to video posts

Actually, this has been discussed in the Mazdaspeed CBE Group Buy thread. You can either drop on side of the rear suspension, or hack up the old exhaust.
not totally disappointed....but if i have to do it over again...i would just get the turboxs race pipe and cpe cai only.....but oh well.....now its on my car....i love it..... 8)
CP-E's instructions show where to cut... and there really is not an easy way to take of the rear suspension without a MAJOR effort. I agree that it is too expensive... but that is the nature of having a BRAND NEW CAR. RPM and STREETUNIT should put a disclaimer in the item to make it clear.
