I would say if you already have a header, CAI, and exhaust system, the work required for making a cosworth manifold work would be worth it. If you don't have any of the others, it might be a little pricey for return considering the time you will put into it.

I really want to turbo my car, and I was wondering if it would be worth putting this in first? I want to do like a T3T4 custom kit, but I was wondering if it is worth it, or should I just get reactive racing turbo kit... this has just crossed my mind idk which way to go with this, I wanted to run about 14psi or maybe even a lil more... any suggestions, sorry for jumping on the subject just have to ask.

I would add the kit without the mani.
I've never heard of anyone blowing their plastic one, you will be fine.
BTW @14psi good luck with your stock rods :)
I wouldn't go any higher than 8pounds for stock bottom-end.

I was planning on doing some internal work before I ran 14lbs, i'm just saying my goal is atleast that, I know whats going to happen if i run 14lbs.

I was planning on forged, and i was going to bore out my engine, maybe a mani.. and new spark plugs, camshaft... idk I'm just going to keep rambling on about what I want to do to it, got to earn the money first, and it has to get out the body shop first as well... wrecked at 120, but now it's completely rebuilt.

A: Dont bore out your motor unless it is absolutely needed, it will weaken the sleeves and possibly warp your cylinder walls down the road. You will gain noting from this since you can only bore out a few MMs

B: Manifold COSWORTH or CUSTOM I am taking my manifold into a shop soon to see if they can make me a custom one for an affordable price. IF they can and you can send me cash I will have them make 2. Not doing a GB Dont want to deal with that shit.

C:plugs are fine they are Iridium from the factory, go a step colder if you turbo

D:Cams good luck! Nobody makes them unless you swap a focus non vvt head, timing chain and crank timing gear over, then go with a standalone, then you can have cams. OR SPEND THE SAME $$$ FOR CUSTOM GRINDS theres a place by me that makes custom cams.

E: You are retarted and should not turbo. Main reason being... Good drivers know their limits and know when to slow down speed up etc, If you crash going 120 you either need glasses or your license revoked, dont be stupid respect other drivers on the road and if you do race try to do it in a controlled place where there are no other cars or pedestrians

Not bashing on you just some constructive criticism, every one on here gets it so get used to it. Im helping you out.

PS I highly reccomend you take a defensive driving course they are fun and will lower your insurance. They also teach you how to control your car at low and high speeds along with swerving out of a path of an object while staying in contol and etc (plus slalom and skidpad!)

You are seriously like a damn mosquito on this forum.

If he wants to go turbo, by all means do it. A lot of people have succeeded and I'm sure he can too.

So he wrecked his car going 120, so what....that is not your concern and does not give you the right to call him a retard and tell him to take "defensive driving courses".

If you actually want to give him constructive criticism, then help him out, don't bash him out.

ANYWAYS (back on subject)

Hey pinkcheese, I say Cosworth is the way to go. Take a look at Xenon929 build.

really how may people have succeeded running 14lbs on stock internals? and it is my buissness when there are other people on the road.

I have been on topic the whole time and provided usefull unformation, this thread should be locked because if he used the search function he would of found this has been discussed ample times.

SO here are your options,

Cosworth (Good product, never heard a bad thing will take a few mins to prep for the 3 not hard at all)

Weapon-R (POS for turbo apps, will probably blow welds)

Custom made (Will take a little longer than both the above but will be cheaper than the cossy and better constructed than the weapon-r)

Now its up to you decided, there is enough usefull info in this thread.
