Just would like to know, the members that use colder spark plugs on there 2.3L Mazda3

which part number do you use??? and what gap did you choose to run?

the search function did not pull any common part number for colder spark plugs

the only one I found so far is

NGK LTR7IX-11 but no gap

so lets get a list of which colder plugs and gap in either copper or irridium

The NGK web site shows TR6IX as the Iridium replacement so a 7 would be one heat range colder.

Plug gap is shown as .052, which corresponds to the the nominal 1.1 mm indicated by the -11 suffix.

EDIT - my bad, the -11 suffix does indicate a nominal 1.1 mm gap but that is actually more like .044-.045". I'm sure you could open it up to .052 but for strict OCD compliance you might want to use a -13 plug, if such a thing exists.
