I'm just trying to upgrade... I looked in my manual... not there.

In the specification section... nothing about headlamps. I just want to put stronger bulbs in... something like "Ultra Lights"

Someone explain to me what the heck I need to know for this.

You need to know how to read your manual. I can't believe you said that it's not there.

But the specs are H7 for low, HB3 for high, H11 for fog.

Headlight Bulb Cross Reference:

A H4 bulb is also referenced to as a HB2 or 9003.
A 9004 bulb is also referenced to as a HB1.
A 9005 bulb is also referenced to as a HB3 or 9145.
A 9006 bulb is also referenced to as a HB4.
A 9007 bulb is also referenced to as a HB5.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah,t hat looks right. Here it the list I usually go by:

An H4 bulb is also referred to as a 9003 or an HB2.
A 9004 bulb is also referred to as an HB1.
A 9005 bulb is also referred to as an HB3.
A 9006 bulb is also referred to as an HB4.
A 9007 bulb is also referred to as an HB5.
H.I.D. bulbs are referred to as 9500, D2R, and D2S.

does anyone know the code for the taillamps? specifically the brakes? 1157 or 7443
I'm sure this isn't in the manual
I'm sure you didn't bother to fk'n look, either. Are all Mazda3 driver this damn lazy?

Page 10-7 of the manual will tell you:
- Front turn signal lights/Side-marker lights
- Fog lights
- Side Turn signal lights
- High-Mount brake light
- rear turn signal light
- brake lights/taillights
- reverse light
- license plate light
- trunk light (sedan)
- luggage compartment light (hatch)
- overhead light/map lights (front)
- overhead light (rear)

WTF?? Why wouldn't the owners manual tell you replacement codes for lights?

I know, Fobby.... But it just really chaps my hide (I've always wanted to say than... heh-heh) that people assume it wouldn't be in the manual. I suppose it would have been different if I'd not posted the page already, but when I posted the page for someone else, and then the question was asked - that just seemed lazy too me.....

I apologize. I'm having a really crappy day at work, too. Probably just venting.
