Clutch Concern..

I couldn't find the answer I was looking for but Iv got a question about the stock clutch..

im almost at 7k on the odo.. This past weekend my clutch felt a bit different.. It didn't have the stock "poppyness" it normally had.. its more of a solid smooth transaction. its got some pressure to apply and feels a bit strong. I was told a way of checking wear was get on the gas and watch the tach race the speed odo and if it they race each other you are fine... if the rpms hesitate then iv got a worn clutch.

My question is.. should i be looking at buying a new clutch soon? There is no possible way it is going out is it? I mean yeah I get on it once a while... thats just me but I don't sprint every where I go. :/ Thanks guys

I think you are perfectly fine. I had the same feeling after I installed my Motormount. I think it just makes engaging the clutch feel more solid.

has your catching point changed drastically?

as long as you arent slipping or smelling clutch while driving you shouldnt be worried. It doesnt hurt to look at clutches, but I would suggest you need one just yet.
No nothing has really changed.. I still have plently of pedal play to mess around with to engauge. It just feels way different now. Im installing a cpe mm today so that may change things as well..

I may pick one up just to be safe though incase something happens. Appreciate the info.
no problem! I have the CP-E mm, it is awesome! youre gonna love it

You may want to take it in to the dealer to get checked before putting the mm in.
I think they cover clutch under 12K miles.
Good luck!
i'll drive it when you come down for the meet... unless you want to bring it earlier or I'll meet you to test it... up to you... it should be fine tho.

BTW add the sig!

Hehe I work at the dealer. I have for 2 years. anything I need is covered haha :)

But Im going to have some techs drive it tomorrow. One of them said today it felt fine.. just the return spring wearin in. I installed the mount today and it felt much different as well. Smoother. Actually my clutch felt like less of a concern after in the install so maybe its just me being picky and I need to shut up :x
