I have a 2005 GS (i model equiv.) with 15" alloy wheels, and I will occassionaly hear a thud type sound if I take a tight turn at high speed. I honestly think it's the suspension getting near it's limit as the weight of the car shifts dramatically when pulling maneuvers like that. I also hear a similar sound when braking very hard and then finally coming to a stop suddenly, again I believe it's the large movement of the shocks causing it. And going over speed bumps, even at low speeds seems to cause a creak type sound as well.

I think it's normal, and probably to do with the shocks reaching their limits. Now if you're taking a gentle turn at a slow rate of speed, you may want to consult the dealer, it should still be covered under warranty.
