With the part numbers we would be able to order the parts ourselves and pay far less than the reserve including shipping. Why would he give them up? :lol: :roll:
The chrome rings can be found on Mazda-Accessories.com (under Accessories > Mazda3, on the 5th page). The part number is G22B V3 770F, and the price is £49.95 (which translates to $88.58 USD). As 3Zoom3 stated in the eBay listings, these aren't available here in North America according to any information I have found.
Hence the reason I bought mine form 3Zoom3: it works out pretty much the same (maybe cheaper, depending on the shipping cost from Mazda-Accessories.com).
As for the SP23 badges, I can't comment. They come as part of the car in Australia, but aren't available anywhere else.

I am sorry, but I am not going to pay $95 :shock: for a pair of badges when I can wait and find them somewhere else. Don't know where yet, but I am sure I can get them for less than $95.

We we need, is to get a forum meber in Australia to go into business selling these things to us, presumably if you buy these from a Mazda dealer in Australia they cost much less than $90/$80. Someone could probably sell them for $40 shipped and put a few bucks in their pocket.

I like the SP23 badge......of course it wouldn't look very good on my tempo so I won't be buying one anytime soon. I just hope if you all find a cheaper source that you share the love.

I am from Oz and ordered chrome rings for my 3 the other day (get them next week). I can look into getting some to send to you guys but I will tell you they aint cheap as they are Mazda original. I might be able to for a bit less than the other dude though but I will have to see how much freight is.
For those of you who want SP23 badges, we also have SP23 floor mats and they look VERY nice. I can look into pricing them too if anyone is interested. I dont have prices on any SP23 stuff at the moment because I got it all with my car. If people are interested PM me or reply to this thread.

You guys only heard one side of the Packpackpack story. I WAS a jerk, but not because he asked a question (the "question" was something like "is that a misprint? Its a $5 part. I'll only bid if its cheaper"). The EM to me, via eBay, was viewed by me as yet another slam, and as I explained to Pack3, I was sick of it. One of the problems with email is that you can't get a feel for the persons inflections or intentions. He may not have been being spiteful or malicious, but thats how I interpreted it.
I re-evaluated the prices of the parts, and lowered them. ebay won't let me change the emblem description again, but if they make it to $69 each I will sell them, just like the rings are posted.
The ONLY thing I was trying to accomplish by selling the rings and emblems was to end up getting my own set for free, or close to it. I paid $430 for four sets of rings, and four individual emblems. That price included shipping, and the Oz guys commission, plus Oz tax, etc. Except for two people, who bought the chrome rings, I have received nothing but grief for this. We ALL know that OEM parts are expensive, and these are no exception. I trust the guy who got the parts for me since he is a good friend of a very good friend in Japan. I've started looking into the actual cost of the parts in Oz, which I should have done before buying the parts,but like I said, I trust the guy who helped me out. His commission was only 10% on this relatively small order. I won't be offering anything else for sale on this board. Like most other parts I sell, I'll go through eBay.
If you don't like the part, or don't want to pay the price for it, or don't like the color, or whatever, don't bitch about it. Just keep looking for something else. I thought I was bringing in something that folks would want. Something that would set their car off a little bit. Personally, I like the chrome rings, and think they are well worth the price. They make you notice the side signals, and for some odd reason, seem to make the nose look a little longer (don't ask me why...). I LOVE the SP23 emblem, and agree that its pricey. Like I stated, I'm not here to jack anyone, nor make the mortgage payment. In actuality, depending on how you look at it, I'm not making ANY money on this.
Best of luck in your searches for the parts. Hopefully the guys in Oz can help you out. I'll be interested to see what they find.
