Hi

If i want to change the headlight(H7) to those whiter bulbs like silverstar do i have to change the wiring or other things? since it runs at a higher Watt then the factory one. The factory one is 55W but the brighter ones tends to be 100+W, so do i have to a higher tolerance wire or change other things?

Thx
And is Silverstar recommanded? How long does it last?

Check out the lighting section. If you read a couple of threads there all you questions will be answered.

Just to make it easy....here's some thread you can start with:

And here you can read what we already answered you the first time.

What you need to remember is that NO 55w bulb gives 100W of light. If it were a real 100W light then you would need a harness and new headlamps housing because it would melt.

You don't need to change anything if you buy H7 silverstar 55W bulbs. And yes they are really good. Silverstar should last as long as sock ones but you need to buy the OSRAM Silverstar available only in Europe. Different then the NA silverstar.....everything is in the lighting section.

Well I pretty much gave you all the answers! Am I a nice guy or what?

I have the NA Silverstars installed.

There is definately a more "white" look....but VERY hard to notice. If you're going for the whiter look...go for the OSRAM Silverstars.

a_kaup,

For the H11 fog bulbs, should I put a titanium bulb at 70W when you start selling them or stick with 55W? IF I stick with the 55W, is the Xenonmatch bulb will match the new titanium bulb in appearance?
