does anyone have multiple holes in their carpet? this really t.o.'s me and i think it is unacceptable. this is the first car i have ever purchased, and after only 15 months my drivers side carpet is all but shredded. there are at least 3 quarter-sized holes in the floor. is this replaceable under warranty?

Stop driving with golf cleats! :p
Yeah the carpets cheap, but it's normal for most cars especially if you're digging into it with the hell and got nothing on top of it, but usually you go through the floor mats first. It might be replaceable, but it's a wear and tear item which they usually don't honor, though there isn't any harm in asking. Might be time to switch up to rubber mats.
My carpet seems fine....I guess carpet isnt that important to me though. After all it is just carpet.. :?

Don't you have floor mats?
Golf Cleats! Bahahahahaha

Floor mats, they are not just there to keep the mud off the carpets. The action of dragging the heel of your feet across the carpet wears it out (the carpet, not your heel). Get the all weather ones.
'Carpet' is a bit of a strong word to describe the vaguely mashed together pad of black fluff they put in our cars :p

Now I think of it, I think every floormat I've had in previous cars has had some kind of rubber pad or even metal plate where the driver's heels rest on it. I know my stock floormats had worn right down to the rubber in one spot after ~900 miles.

[/quote]My driverside carpet had hole forming @ 20k miles. I pointed it out to the dealer. They replaced the enitre carpet under warranty. I think I was vacuming to vigorously. Bring it in it should be covered! It is some shitty carpet though.
It's like a piece of felt. Rode in a friend's RAV-4 and that one has pile carpeting in it.......plush compared to ours. And it was a 2001 RAV.................cheap carpeting in ours :x
Speaking of vacuming, don't let the dealer do it. They press way to hard with whatever tools their using.
