Just replaced the clutch and rear main seal on my 2005 mazda3 2.3l hatchback and upon turning the key the first time the car started and then bogged down and died. I waited a few minutes and tried again and the same results (it died within 5 seconds of running) and now it just cranks but wont start. As far as I can tell all my grounds and plugs are connected and tight. Car sat for a month while while I worked on it in my spare time so I'm not sure if that could have caused some issue that im unaware of. I have no clue what the issue could be and any help would be greatly appreciated
Update: just went through again looking for any ground or plugs I might have missed and cant find anything. When cranking the engine cluster lights start dim and get brighter as I crank, that makes me think i missed a ground but i just checked and the 3 grounds I removed to do the clutch are all tight as well as the plates 2 of the 3 are connected too
Was told recently I probably tripped the immobilizer system on the car when I removed the ecu so my current battle is trying to figure out how to re program this key without having to take it to a dealership google keeps giving me different directions and none seem to work
