I drove the MS3 today for the first time in over a month after putting the MS intake on to see how it drove. I decided to go to the touchless car wash and get some of the dust off her.
Well I don't know if any of you have these touchless washes near you but there is a metal ramp on one side that you park on to start the wash. Being a car wash the metal ramp is understandably wet. Well it took me 7 tries to get the drivers side whell on the ramp. The first 2 tries resulted in a horrible shake (traction control) while going no where. With DSC off the next 4 tries landed me on either side of the ramp and once over and past. Number 7 was the charm.

I had to laugh as it was somewhat funny. FWD + torque.

In your case, I don't think it would matter if it was a speed 3 or a base 3.
The torque is not that much different until the turbo spools up.

I was actually concerned about somebody being behind me. But no one , thank God. It is funny after the fact but I think I looked like a drunk driver at the time.

I'm sure the 9.5:1 compression ratio from the MS3 helps a little out of boost. ;)

You do realize the throttle is not an ON/OFF switch. You can feather it a little bit.

Yeah. I was just having a special moment so I shared. Did not have any problems last weekend with the wash. It was sorta' funny.

I've had the problem before in my 3s but never tried it with my speed...it's metal it's slick and if you stop ...alot of times it's just easier to reverse a little bit and pull back foward....plus I heard the touch free car washes still have a chance of leaving swirl marks so I haven't chanced it with the speed yet

Well think about it.....how many cars on average go through a 'touchless' carwash a day? Okay how often do the *brushes* if you can call them that get cleaned? That is like using the tire/wheel brush on the whole car IMO. Yeah, You're going to get scratches.

Yeah i was confused...its touchless :)

granted I won't go through mine near me again because I paid $7 just to get the undercarraige cleaning and the damn thing sprayed for like 5 seconds, i thought I could drive nice and slow to really get it cleaned up...nope...

to top it off, it left nice water spots all over my car!!! spot free rinse my ass

Touchless carwashes are total BS. They do not get your car clean at all.

Brush car washes ruin your paint.

The ONLY way to wash a car is by hand with a pressure washer, a couple washmits and a bucket.
