Won't any car cover from Autozone/Pepboyz do? I mean, Mazda accessories will just give you a standard tarp with "Mazda3" in big black letters along the sides...

are car covers any good?????

I was just wondering how car covers work...never had one.
--are they easy to put on, take off...need one or 2 people to put on...how much time does it take to put on?
--is there a risk of scratching the paint?
--can they be locked to avoid theft?
--are they thick enough to protect against hail?
--are they foldable so they fit back in your car?

Seems to me they'd be a bit of a hassle but then they are far cheaper than adding a carport/garage to my existing garage.

TIA for any help

-You can do it yourself, it's not too hard at all. Two people doesn't hurt though. It's kind of like making a bed.

-Not a high one at all.

-Usually there is a long cable that goes from one end of the cover, under the car, to the other end, which you use to lock it.

-I guess it depends on how big the hail balls are. If they're little things, then probably. But if they're the size of baseballs you'll find dents. Although, I don't think they'd go through the cover and say, through your windshield, so that's a plus, I guess.

-Yeah, you could fold it.
