I'm not a skilled audiophile, nor have I worked with glass before but I am interested in installing /having a 10" sub fiberglassed into the jack area. It's a 10" JBL. Is there anyone in AZ that would like to make some extra$?
You can do it without fiberglass. I drilled out the rivets holding the jack. Then I made a box out of 1/2" MDF. It is an odd shaped box but it works. I have a Rockford Fosgate 10" slim P3 in there. I had to cut the trunk panel and remake it using cardboard and tape. I then placed one of those cheap 12 inch waffle style grills on the panel and finally covered the entire thing with carpet. Once installed I can fit 2 bags of golf clubs in my trunk without having to lower the back seats and it sounds really good.
