I am just curious as to whether automotive grade paint can be used to paint angel eyes. I have nightshade to make the rings black but I need one ring to be red so that it blends better with the headlight. I was thinking that a mixture like 95% clear and 5% base would provide that look without a major impact on light output.

I assume it would work, however you may want a high temp paint. And the red halo would be illegal.

High temp paint is not needed, halos produce zero heat.

The red is to blend in with his red circle and the way he is painting it, it will still light up mostly white.

Oh, I forgot to mention, it will void the angel eye warranty, but I am sure you figured that

Yeah I figured warranty would be gone. No big deal lol.

I hope that it will shine white. I've seen it done with black and it looked great. Not sure about red lol.
