Does this thing actually do anything good for the car? or is it a waste of ~$150?

Looking from the graph, the true gains are above 5k rpms. I dont usually ever even hit 5k...i guess for me its not worth too much.

Could have gotten it for $115 :lol:

Look at the dyno further also... most is in the lower, that spike at 5k is because the CAI

no...it more or less just "stableizes(sp)" electronics

yeah, well that's what caps do, that's why I asked, cuz on the website it doesn't say how many Farads it is.

thus stabilizing the voltage. See if it's 12V and it suddenly spikes to 13V, the cap will resist to the change (kinda like momentum in mechanics), by the time the cap is giving in, the spike is over, same happens if it goes under, say 11V... the amount of Farads depends on the charge and frequency you want to handle... that is why I was trying to find out how many farads was the BC condenser.
