Same here. Both look pretty cool.

This is my rating:

50.1% = red
49.9% = black

I just like red a little better. But black is very very good as well.

It depends on the color of the car. If the car is yellow, black will probably be good. Same for Dark orange, but for white, red could be better...

Now I know the story of the taillights. The black lights are only on the Active. Cause for our country it is like this:

2.0 Active € 24.590

1.6 diesel Touring € 24.590
1.6 diesel Executive € 25.990

So red ones for the normal versions and black lights for the sporty ones

Cars in Europe are expensive but the ones with the 2.0 gas and 1.6 diesel engines are the equivalent of a FULLY loaded (3.0 V6, GFX package, A/T, sunroof, all power, 17" alloys, etc) Mazda6 in the US.

In Canada for about $40.000-$42.000 CAD (27.990 Euros x roughly 1.5 exchange rate) you are looking at the RX-8.

In Holland you'll get the RX-8 192hp for 40.000 euro's. And the HP for 50.000

I really don't know anymore... I guess it all depends on price at this point. I like the black lights better, but if I have to pay $5000 more to get them then the red look just fine to me.

well, as far as the U.S. goes, the 4-door i model will be getting the red-lens taillights, where-as the 4-door and 5-door s models will be getting the clear-lens taillights with silver-color bezels.
