Went out for a drive on Saturday and found an abandoned warehouse and large puddle to take some pics of. My first time using reflections in a puddle, I think they came out fairly well.

I'd normally wait for dusk to get some better pictures, but I was pressed on time and unfortunately the car was dirty. It's only cleaner than the pic in my last post from the rain we've had recently, though I say this as I'm looking out the window at the 10"+ of snow that fell last night. Wish I had changed up the angles more to avoid the blown-out highlights on the headlight caused by the sun.

The spot was nice though, its in Chelmsford, MA on a small road that leads to a public boat ramp (which nobody uses in the winter here in New England).

Thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments. Photography is a fun hobby for me, after I practice and experiment more with my own car, I might start having actual photoshoots with nicer vehicles, once the weather warms up that is.

Funny, the pictures are still loading fine when I see the page.  As for the gear...

Camera:  Nikon D40
Lenses: 18-55 AF (kit lense), and a 55-200 AF/VR

The two pics in this post were both taken with the 55-200 lense, and edited with a free software (Paint.NET)

I use Photoshop but other than that we have the exact same equipment

Definitely a great basic DSLR in a small package. Only thing I wish the D40 had is AEB (auto exposure bracketing) to make HDR imaging less apain. I've done some using a tripod to keep the camera as still as possible between exposures, but without an AEB mode taking pictures at the same time, its next to impossible to get 3 or more images of the exact same thing without any camera movement between shots and I've never been satisfied with the ability of programs like Photomatrix to re-align the images in the editing process.
